Tinker Hatfield's original Air Max 1 design makes a return in 2023. The Nike Air Max 1 '86 Big Bubble Sport Red features a white mesh upper with university red and white nubuck overlays throughout the silhouette. The design difference occurs within the midsole as the air chamber is enlarged to show four pockets rather than three. Nike branding appears in the form of the Swoosh in the colour university red, alongside Nike Air embroidery on the back heel panel and tongue tag. Additional details include a white midsole and black outsole.
