Brooklyn-based creative agency MSCHF has tapped INRI (Iesus Nazaraeus Rex Iudaeorum) to create a customized Nike Air Max 97 that evokes the miracle of Jesus walking on water in Matthew 14:25. The Nike Air Max 97 MSCHF INRI Jesus Shoes features a white leather upper with light blue mesh overlays throughout the silhouette. The Air Max unit is injected with 60cc of holy water, sourced from the Jordan River and blessed by a priest in Brooklyn. Black MSCHF & INRI branding is printed on the heel tabs, alongside MT 14:25 text printed on the lateral forefoot and a red blood motif printed on the tongue pull tab. Additional details include a gold stainless steel crucifix lace jewel, collaborative branding printed on the red wool insole infused with Frankincense, and white outsole.
